Alhaji Murtala Mohammed, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna laid to rest

Two prominent public officials who perished in the August 6 helicopter crash in Adansi Akrofuom, Ashanti Region, were laid to rest yesterday in deeply moving ceremonies marked by grief and national mourning.

Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, and Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, were buried on Sunday, August 10, in accordance with Islamic rites.

Their sudden deaths, along with six others in the tragic crash, have sent shockwaves across the nation.

Hundreds of mourners, including political leaders, Members of Parliament, government officials, religious figures, party faithful, and ordinary citizens, gathered to pay their final respects.

The solemn service was filled with prayers, tears, and tributes celebrating their dedicated service to Ghana.

Flags flew at half-mast and faces bore the weight of collective loss, as the nation bid farewell to two of its devoted sons.
