Leader of Union Government, Akwasi Addai Odike, says President Akufo-Addo’s tenure of office has been nothing but short form of disaster for the country, resulting in unprecedented levels of hardship and suffering.

“The experience of a person there now has been a disastrous the country.”In view of this “disastrous experience”, Odike asked:

“So what is the purpose of the continuity? Are we going to continue the disaster? Is that what we want to do? We want to get rid of the disaster, and bring in a man with new ideas and a fresh direction for our nation”

"Appealing to residents, and Ghanaians to have confidence in the Union Government, Odike assured that “I am not coming to fill my pockets with your money. I am coming to work to straighten up our country and bring it back to prosperity again.”

Akwasi Addai Odike, believed Ghanaians should not see former President John Dramani Mahama as a viable option for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He stated that the former President is not a credible alternative who will be able to manage the country and deliver to Ghanaians the effective leadership they want.
