The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, on Thursday, March 9 embarked on an unannounced visit to Osu Presbyterian Senior High School in the Greater Accra Region.
This is part of his routine unannounced visits to schools in Ghana.
“I inspected most of the classrooms while lessons were ongoing and I shared lessons from my life experiences and that of other great personalities like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Barrack Obama, and many others with the students and encouraged them to study hard and excel regardless of their various backgrounds,” he wrote.
Dr Adutwum also announced a one-year pre-tertiary engineering programme to be offered at the university to students with non-science background but who wish to pursue engineering at the tertiary level.
“In addition, I pledged to furnish some classrooms with paints and louver blades to make it a convenient learning environment for students and also provide textbooks for efficient learning.
