A Former appointee of the late President Rawlings has advised her former colleagues in government to write their own accounts of events in that era.

Prof. Esi Sutherland-Addy,who served as Deputy secretary for Culture under the PNDC regime, said the different accounts of what occurred during the departed statesman's era will give Ghanaians a full impression of his governance.

"For an era as turbulent as this was, I think that as many people who were involved in it as possible should be writing...that is necessary ". She said in an interview.

Prof. Sutherland-Addy said accounts of that era have not been fully told because very little was documented during the PNDC due to the busy schedules of the actors.

Her comments come on the heels of the release of Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi's book, titled 'Working with Rawlings', a book that chronicles happenings during Rawlings' rule. the book generated controversy prompting a rebuttal by the late president.
