President Akufo-Addo has sent a good will message to the Three Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand (375,737) Final Year Senior High School students across the country as this year's West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination begins today.
According to President Akufo-Addo, although the country has been hit by the coronavirus, his government is doing everything possible to guarantee the prospects of the youths and protect their potential.
In his goodwill message, he said "Every Ghanaian acknowledges that education is the key to the future of our country. We, therefore, must do everyting possible, even in the midst of a pandemic, to guarantee the prospects of our youth, protect their potential, and, thereby, help preserve our collective future"
He added that just as has been done over the course of the last four weeks, he will urge teaching, non-teaching staff, invigilators and students to abide by the enhanced hygiene, mask wearing and social distancing protocols.
