Over 1,901 candidates are participating in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in Nkwanta South, Oti Region.
Among them are four nursing mothers and six pregnant girls, all determined to complete their education despite facing challenges like fatigue, morning sickness, and the demands of caring for newborns.
At the Kechiebi RC center, family members assisted by caring for the babies while the mothers took their exams.
Examination Coordinator, Lawrence Antwi cautioned against any form of malpractice, urging candidates to take the exams seriously to benefit from the free Senior High School (SHS) education.
Several candidates pledged to adhere to the examination rules to ensure a smooth process.
