"Say No To Stigmatization" - NAPO Urges Public (+ Pictures)

Ghana's Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is calling on the general public to do away with the stigmatization of persons who have been affected and recovered from the novel coronavirus.

According to him, stigmatizing and making mockery of the affected and recovered will go a long way to negatively affected the individual(s).

In a Facebook post sighted by ThinkNewsOnline, the Education Minister said "#StopStigmatisation As a society, we must do more to avoid stigmatizing those who contract and recover from the dreadful Covid-19 virus."

He added that hose who survive the pandemic have a story to tell, adding that it is not a pretty one.

The Education Ministry further charged Ghanaians not make it worse for Covid-19 patients via stigmatizing and ostracizing.
 

 
"Together, let us fight not only the disease, but the negative social stereotypes around it. I am proud of my team at the Ministry of Education. Some of us contracted COVID-19. Thank God we beat it" he stated.
