"20 Pupils Have Tested Postive For Covid-19 In Greater Accra" - Dr. Kuma-Aboagye

The Director-General for Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye has revealed that 20 pupils have tested positive for covid-19 in Greater Accra Region since the re-opening of school.


 
According to him, this comes as a result of the failure of some pupils to comply with the covid-19 protocols.

Addressing Journalists in Accra on Tuesday, Dr. Kuma-Aboagye said "20 pupils in some schools in the Greater Accra Region has tested positive for coronavirus since the re-opening of school"

He added that 1 student is currently in a critical condition.

Dr. Kuma-Aboagye also added that it is worrying how some Ghanaians have refusing to comply with the directives adding that failure to adhere to the protocols will worsen the already rising cases.

Ghana's current confirmed cases of the covid-19 stand at 67,782 while active cases remain at 5,515.

772 new cases have been recorded while the current death toll stands at 424.
